The 2020 Virtual National HBCU Week and Conference was held September 20-26, with representation from Hive Group in attendance. Virtual sessions brought leaders from all over together to focus on the plethora of Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) capabilities and talent, all coupled with an active virtual community during social distancing times.
Held annually since 1980, National HBCU Week celebrates these historically black institutions and the legacy of promoting equal rights in the pursuit of higher education. Since the Carter Administration, the U.S. Department of Education has dedicated one week in September to observe National HBCU Week with conferences in Washington, D.C. Each President has signed an executive order maintaining the continuation of the program.
