Hive Group LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is excited to announce their certification as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business by the United States Small Business Association (SBA).
As a HUBZone-certified business, Hive Group is eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts and receive a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions. The SBA offers HUBZone certification to businesses operating in historically underutilized business zones, with a goal of awarding at least 3 percent of all federal contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses each year.
“Our Hubzone Certification reflects the company’s commitment to not only provide opportunities to underserved locations, but also to unlock the talent that exists in those areas and support local communities,” says Will Fortier, President of Hive Group. “We are looking forward to offering creative and diverse professional solutions for commercial and federal clients across the country.”
To achieve HUBZone certification, Hive Group had to meet a range of criteria that included its principal office being located in a Federally-mapped HUBZone area and 35% or more of its employees residing within HUBZone regions.
